English, Support for most able pupils
I have been teaching for 9 years and have been at Cardinal Newman for 3 years. Prior to this I have taught at Foxford School and President Kennedy School in Coventry. My subject is English and I teach Literature and Film Studies at A Level. I have been involved in school to school support in a variety of capacities, I was an Advanced Skills Teacher for 5 years and have always forged successful relationships with staff and students alike. This has been a particular focus with schools in challenging circumstances.
I have a particular interest in developing strategies to stretch and challenge AGT students across the Key Stages and facilitated outstanding teaching and learning. I also have extensive experience in creating, managing and implementing intervention, monitoring and tracking strategies. I have broad experience in developing and leading cross-curricular CPD and coaching and mentoring.
I am currently an Assistant Curriculum Leader in English and Leader of KS5 for English, leading on Stretch and Challenge, Innovative Teaching Strategies and English.
