SLE Fiona Halliday-Moore

Leadership of Curriculum, English, ITT & NQT development, Behaviour & Discipline
Primary Phase
Hill Farm Primary School

My present post is Assistant Head, as part of the Senior Leadership Team, year group lead and teaching a year 6 class at a large three-form entry, inner city school. My responsibility currently is ‘Challenge and Differentiation’, which is one of our key Ofsted priorities. I am also an STA accredited moderator for Key Stage 2 writing, working within the local education and learning service.

My areas of expertise include: improving the quality of teaching and learning in English, raising standards in writing, moderation and assessment. Coaching and mentoring is also a key area of strength, having worked successfully as a peer coach for colleagues within Warwickshire before coming to teach in Coventry. I lead our school cluster network, working alongside colleagues to make lasting improvements with positive outcomes for all our children. I work hard to provide personal and professional training opportunities, to keep skills sharp and minds open.

As both a phase and curriculum leader, I am responsible for modelling excellent practice and leading change through a collaborative, motivational and inspiring approach. I am passionate about the teaching of English and would love all children to be encouraged, enthused and inspired to love books, stories, reading, language and writing.
