Castle Phoenix TSA are offering a suite of SEND CPD in the summer term with our SEND partners –  Baginton Fields School, Corley Centre and SENCO/SLE at Courthouse Green Primary.

With the success of the Secondary NQT Programme – Behaviour for Learning Session (“Really useful reflective session”, “feeling positive about changing approaches” – previous delegates), we are offering a session on Managing an Inclusive Classroom for SEND and ASD Students in June at the Corley Centre.  They are also offering courses on Meeting the needs of students with Autism in subject specific areas and Managing an Inclusive Classroom for SEND and ASD students.

With the success of the ASD Theory and Practice session in November (“It was a really informative day. We were made to feel so welcome and the staff and children make it a warm and caring place to be. Thank you.” – previous delegate), we are offering another all-day session at Baginton Fields School.  The SENCO/SLE at Courthouse Green Primary School is also  offering Supporting Literacy Difficulties in the Classroom in July, a re-run of the January session (“Extremely informative with so many strategies to support specific literacy difficulties” – previous delegate).

These sessions provide the opportunity to work alongside teachers to observe SEND and autism in practice used in the delivery of lessons, discuss individual challenges with experienced practitioners, strategies for inclusive learning in the classroom and understanding behaviour presented by pupils with SEND and ASD. These are opportunities to gain invaluable experience in an SEN school to take back to the mainstream setting.
